rarely exhibit quasar activity. Perhaps these galaxies harbor “dead” quasars in their centers (remember that the light from 3C 275.1 has taken 5 billion years to reach us). These “dead” quasars probably exhausted their fuel and now lie unseen at the center of their host galaxies.
